  Landing a career position within Neuroscience is hard, hard work. Most viable positions require college up through a doctorate, followed by a post-doctoral fellowship. However, positions in the form of research and teaching assistantships can offer stipends. Active participation and contact with professors can open students up to a network of these assistantship possibilities. Although they are typically low-paying, they can yield excellent training for future career positions.
